Sprayed Glass Fiber Roving

Yuruis Sprayed Glass Fiber Roving is an E-Glass, untwisted roving developed for spray-up molding of FRP products. The multi-strand construction is designed for continuous cutting through spray guns, with low static generation, good fiber dispersion and fast resin penetration during production. It is supplied for manufacturers of FRP boats, sanitary ware, storage tanks, automotive parts and other molded composite products.

This Sprayed Glass Fiber Roving is made from multiple strands of E-Glass filaments wound without twist. Each strand contains 200 glass fiber filaments. The construction is suited to common spray guns and fiber delivery systems used in open-mold FRP production.

Product Advantages

Cutting performance

The r Sprayed Glass Fiber Roving can be continuously cut at high production speeds while generating relatively little static electricity. This helps maintain a steady spray pattern and reduces fiber buildup around the cutting and delivery area.

Fiber dispersion after cutting

A good spray-up roving should separate effectively after being chopped rather than remaining in dense bundles. The untwisted multi-strand structure is designed for good dispersion, helping distribute reinforcement more evenly across the mold.

Coverage of complex molds

Once cut, the short fibers can follow curved surfaces and reach corners of the mold more easily. This is particularly useful for boats, sanitary ware, tanks and other products with irregular shapes.

Resin wet-out and air removal

The fibers are designed for fast resin penetration. During rolling, the wet laminate can be flattened and air bubbles removed more efficiently, helping produce a more uniform composite layer.

Sprayed Glass Fiber Roving

Where Spray-Up Roving Is Used

FRP Boats and Marine Products

Spray-up roving is widely suited to molded FRP structures such as boat hulls and other marine components. Its ability to cover curved mold surfaces is useful when working with large or irregular molds.

Sanitary Ware

For bathtubs, shower products and other FRP sanitary ware, the chopped fibers can be distributed over the mold together with resin to form the reinforced structure.

Storage Tanks and Water Tanks

The material can be used in molded FRP tanks where glass fiber reinforcement is required to build up the composite wall structure.

Automotive Parts

Spray-up fiberglass is applicable to selected automotive composite components, including exterior and structural parts manufactured using open-mold processes.

Electrical and Building Products

Other applications include electrical cabinets, waterproof boards, building decoration products and molded FRP components where spray-up reinforcement is part of the production process.

From Roving to Finished FRP Part

The performance of spray-up roving is closely connected with the production process:

Roving Feeding → High-Speed Cutting → Fiber Dispersion → Mold Coverage → Resin Impregnation → Rolling & Air Removal → Curing

The material therefore needs to work consistently with the cutting equipment, spray gun, resin system and mold. Yuruis's spray-up roving is developed around these practical production requirements rather than being positioned simply as a general-purpose fiberglass roving.

Packaging, Warehousing and Delivery

For bulk fiberglass material, packaging is part of the supply process. The product needs to remain protected during storage, pallet handling and international transportation.

FAQ

What is Sprayed Glass Fiber Roving?

It is an E-Glass roving specifically designed for spray-up molding. The roving is cut into short fibers by a spray gun and deposited together with resin onto the mold surface.

What is spray-up roving mainly used for?

It is commonly used for FRP boats, sanitary ware, storage tanks, water tanks, automotive composite parts, electrical cabinets and other molded FRP products.

Why is low static important for spray-up roving?

Lower static generation during continuous cutting can help reduce fiber adhesion around the cutting and delivery system and support more consistent fiber distribution.

Can this roving cover curved molds?

Yes. After cutting, the short fibers can spread across curved and irregular mold surfaces, making the material suitable for products with complex shapes.

Can Yuruis customize the packaging?

Yes. Standard pallet packaging is available, and packaging requirements can be discussed according to order quantity and transportation arrangements.

Does Yuruis supply bulk orders?

Yes. Yuruis supports bulk orders for international FRP manufacturers, distributors and other composite material buyers.
